Job summary

Franklin Law is seeking an experienced litigation paralegal for a fully remote role based in California. You will drive trial preparation, assemble exhibits, manage depositions, and track deadlines while supporting attorneys on employment matters.

Litigation Paralegal | Fully Remote in California

We're a workers' rights law firm dedicated to forcing justice for workers who have been wronged by their employers.

The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced litigation paralegal to join our growing practice. Our cases go to trial, and we need someone who knows how to get them there. You'll be the engine behind our trial preparation, making sure our attorneys walk into the courtroom fully prepared. This is a remote position with genuine work-life balance.

What You'll Do

• Lead trial preparation, including assembling, numbering, and organizing exhibits, exhibit lists, and joint exhibit binders
• Build trial notebooks, witness binders, and deposition designation materials
• Prepare and track pretrial filings and deadlines, including those set by trial-setting orders and local rules
• Support discovery: organize and track written discovery and document productions, calendar response deadlines, and help prepare responses and meet-and-confer materials under attorney supervision
• Prepare deposition notices, subpoenas, outlines and exhibits to support attorneys before and after depositions
• Calendar and track litigation deadlines, court dates, and case milestones across our docket
• Support attorneys on a focused caseload of employment matters, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage & hour claims
• Collaborate with a tight-knit team that values precision, responsiveness, and creative problem-solving
• Assist in interviewing potential clients and witnesses

Qualifications

• Litigation paralegal experience in California state court, including familiarity with the CCP, California Rules of Court, and local rules; additional experience in federal court and/or arbitration desirable
• Hands-on experience supporting cases through trial strongly preferred
• Willing to travel as necessary to attend trials anywhere in California
• Experience with discovery management and document productions
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills, especially under trial deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
• Proactively prioritize workload with minimal supervision while assisting multiple attorneys
• Commitment to social justice and employee rights
• $40-$45/hour, depending on experience
