Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment in Homewood, Alabama. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with accuracy.

Responsibilities include preparing and filing pleadings, managing case files and calendars, coordinating with clients and courts, and performing legal research as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of litigation legal assistant experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and terminology
• Excellent organizational, communication, and proofreading skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
• Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys with all aspects of litigation matters
• Prepare, format, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence
• Manage case files, calendars, deadlines, and court dates
• Assist with discovery, trial preparation, and document organization
• Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other parties
• Perform legal research and administrative support as needed
