Job summary

PLUNKETT COONEY, PC, a longtime Midwest law firm, seeks a full-time Paralegal in its Indianapolis office to support one partner and one senior attorney across multiple practice areas.

The role primarily serves our Indianapolis location but may offer remote support for our regional offices. You will handle document preparation, discovery responses, and legal research while maintaining a strict billable target.

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience in litigation.
• Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate or equivalent.
• Familiar with document management systems, preferably iManage.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local court rules.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Become familiar with AI tools.
• Attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare legal documents and summarize records.
• Prepare and respond to discovery requests and document production.
• Obtain authorizations and records from medical providers and vendors.
• Prepare pleadings, briefs, simple motions and some legal research.
• Maintain billable monthly goal.
• Be proactive in cases with high-quality documents under tight deadlines.
