Job summary

Ogletree Deakins is seeking an experienced Paralegal in our Indianapolis, IN office to support the Labor & Employment practice. The role involves researching law, investigating facts, and preparing documents to assist attorneys.

Under general supervision, you will analyze statutes and case law to prepare briefs, pleadings, and appeals for review and use by attorneys. The position emphasizes accuracy, organization, and timely communication in a busy law firm setting.

Qualifications

  • Paralegal certification / degree from accredited college or university preferred.
  • 1+ years of paralegal or combination of paralegal and legal secretary experience.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Lexis-Nexis and WestLaw, Document Management System, expense and billing systems.

  • Communicates with witnesses and experts
  • Scheduling
  • Enters billing and expense data into Firm system in a timely manner

Position Summary

Our Indianapolis, IN office has an opportunity for an experienced Paralegal to join our Labor & Employment practice. Researches law, investigates facts, and prepares documents to assist attorneys. Under general supervision, researches and analyzes law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes to prepare legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings, appeals for review, approval, and use by attorney.
