Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an experienced Paralegal/Legal Assistant to support our litigation team through all phases of the legal process, from inception to resolution. The role emphasizes error-free document management, discovery, and trial preparation in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of paralegal experience, strong organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of paralegal experience in litigation.
• Experience with insurance defense, personal injury, or civil litigation is preferred.
• Proficiency with Westlaw and LexisNexis.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, notices, and correspondence.
• Prepare, file, and serve pleadings and discovery per court rules and procedural requirements.
• Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and meetings with attorneys, clients, experts, court personnel, and vendors.
• Maintain organized case files, litigation calendars, and document management systems.
• Assist with trial preparation, including assembling exhibits, trial binders, witness files, and supporting materials.
• Retrieve and organize case-related information for hearings and trials.
