The role emphasizes organization, proactive communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while coordinating discovery, preparing pleadings, and maintaining case files and calendars.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of law firm experience in civil litigation and criminal law.
• Familiar with Wisconsin state and federal court filing procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management software.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in civil litigation, personal injury, employment disputes, and criminal defense matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
• Coordinate discovery and manage case files, calendars, and deadlines.
• Assist with deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation.
• Prepare exhibits, deposition materials, and trial notebooks.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, experts, and other professionals.
• Conduct legal research and assist with factual investigations.
• Manage multiple matters while maintaining confidentiality.
