Job summary

Kenny Habetz Injury Law is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys from petition through trial. You will manage the litigation calendar, draft and file pleadings and discovery, coordinate depositions, and build trial notebooks for high-pressure proceedings.

The ideal candidate is precise, deadline-driven, and comfortable in litigation. Strong organizational skills, attention to deadlines, and experience with case management software are essential; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

3+ years of litigation paralegal experience.
Knowledge of Louisiana civil procedure and e-filing.
Ability to manage a litigation calendar without misses.
Strong drafting and document organization skills.
Attention to detail and deadline pressure.
Proficiency with case and document management software.
Paralegal certificate or degree or NALA/NFPA certification preferred.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

Draft petitions, motions, discovery requests and responses.
File documents with state and federal courts and track service.
Maintain compliance with local rules, court procedures, and e-filing requirements.
Prepare exhibits, affidavits, and supporting documentation for motion practice.
Own the litigation calendar with deadlines and reminders.
Coordinate depositions, experts, and trial notebooks.
Organize discovery and medical records for fast retrieval.
Provide onsite trial support and witness coordination.
Communicate with clients about deposition prep and case posture.
