Job summary

Kenny Habetz Injury Law is seeking a Trial Attorney to litigate Louisiana personal injury matters from filing through resolution, including trial when needed. You will own case strategy, conduct discovery, take and defend depositions, work with experts, and negotiate from a position of strength.

You will handle auto/trucking collisions, premises liability, catastrophic injuries, and wrongful death cases with support from paralegals and leadership in a modern, paperless environment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active Louisiana Bar license in good standing.
• Meaningful litigation experience handling personal injury, insurance defense, civil litigation, or comparable matters.
• Ability to independently manage a litigation docket with multiple deadlines.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills and proficiency in legal research.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute individualized litigation strategies for each case.
• Manage docket of Louisiana personal injury matters from filing through settlement or trial.
• Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, defendants, and expert witnesses.
• Pleadings, motions, discovery, and drafting pretrial orders and jury instructions.
• Prepare witnesses for testimony and coordinate with experts across disciplines.
• Lead mediation and settlement discussions and advise clients on risk and options.
• Collaborate with paralegals, case managers, and firm leadership to drive case outcomes.
