Job summary

Jobot in Tampa is seeking an experienced paralegal to support a national civil litigation firm focusing on mesothelioma. You will assist lawyers from case inception through trial, draft pleadings, prepare discovery, file documents, and coordinate depositions.

The role requires 3–5 years of paralegal experience, a paralegal degree or certificate, and strong organizational and communication skills. Benefits include fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401K, and PTO.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a paralegal role
• Paralegal degree or certificate required
• Product liability or personal injury experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation from onset through trial
• Draft pleadings, correspondence, authorizations, interrogatories, transmittal letters, and other legal documents
• File summonses and complaints and coordinate service with vendors
• Prepare discovery requests and responses
• Coordinate and schedule depositions
• Track and monitor client files, calendars, and provide status updates
• Perform extensive legal research (court rules and procedures)
• Assist with trial preparation including binders, exhibits, and coordination with experts
