Job summary

Alliance Defending Freedom is seeking a skilled paralegal to join the US Legal Advocacy Team in Lansdowne, VA. You will work with attorneys on litigation cases, perform advanced legal support, and manage case files with minimal supervision.

The role requires extensive cite-checking, legal research, and proficiency with CM/ECF, Westlaw, and iManage. You will contribute to trial preparation and document production, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met.

Qualifications

• Paralegal degree or national certification or equivalent work experience.
• Requires 5+ years of advanced experience performing litigation paralegal duties.
• Strong cite-checking skills and working knowledge of Bluebook.
• Experience with multiple attorneys and heavy litigation caseload.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Act confidentially with Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys.
• Follow federal, state, and local rules for each case.
• File documents electronically using CM/ECF in courts.
• Prepare templates for complaints, motions, briefs, petitions, and other docs.
• Create tables of contents and authorities for briefs.
