Job summary

Withers is seeking a Litigation Paralegal for the San Francisco office with a four‑day in‑office requirement. You will support attorneys across the disputes practice, handling large volumes of documents, depositions, pleadings, and court filings in state and federal courts.

The ideal candidate is a recent graduate or early‑career legal professional with strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills. Travel may be required; this is a collaborative firm environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 0–2 years of legal, paralegal, internship, or related experience.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research tools.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Organize, maintain, and manage electronic and hard-copy case files.
• Assist with preparation, proofreading, and filing of legal documents in state and federal courts.
• Assist with cite-checking and fact-checking and formatting briefs and court filings.
• Compile exhibits and supporting documents for filings, hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
• Conduct basic factual and legal research using Westlaw and other resources.
• Track case deadlines and maintain litigation calendars.
• Assist with document collection, review, and production processes.
• Support deposition, hearings, and trial logistics.
• Assist with electronic filing through state and federal court systems.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
• Occasional travel to courthouses and agencies for filing and document delivery.
