Job summary

CACI is seeking a Senior Paralegal to support the Department of Justice Health Care Fraud Unit in a fast-paced office setting. The role focuses on litigation support, discovery preparation, and case management, with opportunities to work with automated litigation support tools and Relativity.

Qualified candidates have a paralegal certificate or a four-year degree and at least one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Requires paralegal certificate, or a four-year college degree.
• At least one year of litigation paralegal experience or project experience related to health care, project or document management, policy, research, government staffing, publishing; or equivalent experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong computer skills including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Understanding of electronic discovery and how ESI works within an operating system.

Responsibilities

• Compiles, prepares, and summarizes materials for discovery and for motions, briefs and other legal documents.
• Summarizes depositions and transcripts; maintains case files and conducts simple legal research.
• Indexes, tracks, and controls document discovery; manages documents produced and received in discovery.
• Indexes and tracks exhibits at depositions and trials; prepares exhibit cross-references.
• Assists attorneys in courtroom settings.
• Reviews documents for relevance and privilege; assists with FOIA, production requests, and inquiries.
