Qualifications

• Five to fifteen years of litigation paralegal experience in a mid-size or large law firm.
• Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate preferred.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures.
• Proficiency with CM/ECF and legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• Relativity experience required.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prepare legal documents including complaints, motions, discovery, and other pleadings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court rules.
• File and serve motions, briefs, exhibits, appendices, and other documents in state and federal courts, including CM/ECF and File & Serve.
• Conduct legal and factual research to support litigation matters.
• Manage all aspects of electronic discovery, including loading, coding, Bates numbering, production logging, and document searches in Relativity.
• Support attorneys in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial, including logistics, exhibits, witness and expert preparation, and technology needs.
• Create and maintain case management repositories for new matters, with primary responsibility for file organization and timely distribution of court filings.
• Organize discovery, pleadings, research, and case documents for attorney review and trial preparation.
• Prepare binders for hearings, depositions, and trial.
• Communicate with clients and opposing counsel to respond to inquiries and provide case updates.
• Proofread and cite check legal documents for accuracy, formatting, and compliance.
• Track case deadlines and support overall case management needs.
