Job summary

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP in Wheeling, WV, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in our Litigation practice group. While the location preference is Pittsburgh, PA, we will consider qualified applicants at other office locations.

Responsibilities include drafting and reviewing discovery, preparing deposition notices and exhibits, managing case chronologies, and coordinating with experts and clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in business litigation.
• College degree, ABA-approved paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive knowledge of discovery and court dockets.
• Strong verbal and written communication; highly organized.
• Proficiency with legal research and document drafting.
• Pre-trial and trial experience required.

Responsibilities

• Review and summarize medical records and deposition transcripts
• Prepare notices of depositions and deposition exhibits
• Communicate with experts and clients
• Create and maintain case chronologies
• Draft discovery requests and responses
• Assist in drafting motions, responses, and exhibits
• Review and organize document productions for responsiveness and redactions
• Organize and manage document productions
• Maintain internal active case lists with deadlines
• Assist in researching case law and draft client update reports
• Collaborate with Project Assistant, Clerks, and staff to fulfill production needs
• Ability to multi-task, manage large caseload, and work overtime
• Other duties as requested
