Job summary

Great Firm in California is seeking an experienced paralegal to support attorneys in insurance defense litigation, discovery, and trial preparation. The role requires at least 2 years of paralegal experience and proficiency with e-filing systems.

You will conduct legal research, prepare discovery responses and objections, summarize medical records, manage deadlines, and coordinate with clients and attorneys to advance cases.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a paralegal, preferably in insurance defense.
• Proficiency in e-filing and other legal software.
• Strong legal research skills and ability to analyze complex materials.
• Experience in litigation support and preparing discovery responses/objections.
• Familiarity with medical records and ability to summarize pertinent info.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage a busy calendar and deadlines.
• Experience with time entries and billing in a legal setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive, able to work independently or in a team.
• Paralegal certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with litigation, discovery, filings, and trial prep.
• Use e-file systems to file legal documents timely and accurately.
• Conduct legal research to support case strategy.
• Prepare discovery responses and objections for litigation.
• Review and summarize medical records and related documents.
• Manage time entries and billing accurately.
• Maintain an organized calendar of deadlines and court dates.
• Collaborate with attorneys and clients to ensure effective communication.
