Job summary

BakerHostetler in Atlanta seeks a Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in a high-volume practice. The role spans case inception through post-trial activities, including drafting pleadings, managing documents, and coordinating filings in state and federal courts.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in litigation support, strong e-discovery and research skills, and proficiency with litigation tech and MS Office. This is an on-site position offering exposure to complex matters firm-wide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or Paralegal Certificate; equivalent combination may substitute.
• Experience supporting complex commercial, labor and employment, or healthcare litigation.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures and e-filing workflows.
• Proficiency with litigation technology and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys through all phases of litigation from inception to post-trial.
• Draft, revise, file pleadings, motions, subpoenas and other documents.
• Manage and maintain case files, documents, exhibits and evidence.
• Coordinate filings in state and federal courts and track deadlines.
• Assist with written discovery, including responses and document productions.
• Conduct legal research and fact investigations using internal/external resources.
• Review and organize medical, employment, financial and contract records.
• Prepare deposition summaries, chronologies and trial notebooks.
• Coordinate with clients, witnesses, court personnel, experts and opposing counsel.
• Support trial prep, manage exhibits and witness materials.
• Monitor deadlines and attorney calendars; support ADR proceedings.
