Job summary

Acadia Healthcare is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to provide comprehensive litigation and case management support within the Legal Department. The role spans intake, discovery, holds, and coordination with outside counsel across a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in complex litigation matters, contributing to trial preparation and related investigations as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree, paralegal certificate, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of litigation paralegal experience supporting civil litigation, healthcare litigation, insurance defense, employment litigation, mass tort litigation, or related practice areas.
• Experience managing litigation files and supporting discovery processes.
• Experience coordinating document collection, review, and production.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the management of litigation matters from initial claim through resolution.
• Coordinate and maintain litigation files, pleadings, correspondence, case documents, and related records.
• Manage legal holds, document preservation efforts, and custodial communications.
• Assist attorneys and outside counsel with discovery requests, document collection, document review, and production activities.
• Coordinate responses to subpoenas, records requests, and other legal inquiries.
• Track litigation deadlines, court filings, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial dates.
• Prepare chronologies, case summaries, witness files, and other litigation support materials.
