Job summary

Acadia Healthcare is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to provide case management and litigation support to the Legal Department across Acadia. You will assist attorneys through all phases of litigation, including intake, discovery, holds, and trial preparation, coordinating with outside counsel in a fast-paced corporate legal environment.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced supporting complex matters in healthcare and civil litigation within a nationwide

Qualifications

• Associate degree, paralegal certificate, bachelor’s degree or equivalent combo of education and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of litigation paralegal experience in civil healthcare or related practice.
• Experience managing litigation files and supporting discovery processes.
• Experience coordinating document collection, review and production.
• Strong organizational, analytical and project management abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Support the management of litigation matters from initial claim through resolution.
• Coordinate and maintain litigation files, pleadings, correspondence and related records.
• Manage legal holds, document preservation and custodial communications.
• Assist attorneys and outside counsel with discovery requests, document collection, review and production.
• Coordinate responses to subpoenas and records requests.
• Track litigation deadlines, court filings, hearings, mediations and trial dates.
• Prepare chronologies, case summaries and witness files.
• Assist with investigation of claims and litigation matters.
• Organize electronic case files and litigation databases.
• Coordinate communications among facility personnel, Risk, HR, Operations, outside counsel and stakeholders.
• Review invoices from outside counsel and assist with budget reporting.
• Support MDL matters through document collection and case tracking.
