Job summary

Plona Partners is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its Connecticut office immediately. The role focuses on court filings, deadlines, discovery, e-discovery, and supporting multiple attorneys across active matters.

The position starts as temporary with potential to convert into a permanent role. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in substantive litigation, a strong civil/commercial background, and CT/NY experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of substantive litigation paralegal experience.
• Strong complex civil or commercial litigation background.
• Connecticut and New York litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Experience managing court calendars, deadlines and filing requirements.
• Hands-on discovery and e-discovery experience.
• Experience preparing pleadings, subpoenas and discovery materials.
• Ability to research and navigate court rules across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience supporting multiple attorneys and active matters simultaneously.
• Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.
• Experience with insurance coverage, insurance recovery, complex commercial litigation would be relevant.

Responsibilities

This is a hands‑on opportunity for a paralegal who knows litigation from the inside out — court filings, deadlines, discovery, e‑discovery, case management and supporting multiple attorneys across active matters. The position will begin as a temporary assignment with the potential to convert into a permanent role.

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years of substantive litigation paralegal experience
• Strong complex civil or commercial litigation background
• Connecticut and New York litigation experience strongly preferred
• Experience managing court calendars, deadlines and filing requirements
