Beacon Hill Legal in Tampa, FL is seeking a Litigation Paralegal for a temporary assignment to support a busy insurance defense practice. The role covers all phases of litigation and related administrative duties. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of paralegal experience, with insurance defense experience preferred.

The position offers a hybrid schedule (2–3 days in-office weekly), regular 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. hours, and immediate start. Travel is limited and duration is approx.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience.
• Insurance defense experience strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation.
• Experience with discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and document management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with Relativity, Adobe Acrobat, and Westlaw or Lexis platforms.
• Strong organizational, research, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with legal teams.
• Paralegal certificate preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of litigation, including fact and expert discovery.
• Draft and manage disclosures, discovery requests, discovery responses, document productions, privilege logs, subpoenas, and deposition notices.
• Conduct document review and maintain organized case files.
• Manage attorney calendaring and litigation deadlines.
• Support electronic discovery and document management initiatives.
• Coordinate deposition preparation, exhibits, binders, and case materials.
• Assist with mediation and trial preparation.
• Draft and maintain witness lists, exhibit lists, trial notebooks, and jury instruction materials.
• Coordinate with courts, vendors, witnesses, and opposing counsel as needed.
• Provide legal administrative support to attorneys and litigation teams.
• Attend trials when required.
• Handle additional litigation support projects as assigned.

Our client is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to provide immediate support to a busy insurance litigation practice. This role will assist with all phases of litigation and will also include legal administrative responsibilities. Schedule

Schedule: Full-time Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. One-hour unpaid lunch. Hybrid schedule with approximately 2-3 days in the office each week; in-office schedule will be finalized during the hiring process.

Assignment Details

Assignment Details: Temporary assignment. Immediate start preferred. Expected duration of approximately 4-6 weeks. Potential for future permanent consideration may exist, although no conversion is guaranteed.
