Job summary

LHH is assisting a top regional law firm in its search for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its Oakland, California office. This hybrid opportunity offers exposure to sophisticated commercial litigation across various industries and the chance to work closely with attorneys on all phases of cases, from discovery through trial.

Responsibilities include managing case files, document review and productions, drafting pleadings and court filings, and coordinating eDiscovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate or CA-equivalent qualifications
• At least 5 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate setting
• Experience supporting commercial litigation matters and trial preparation
• Experience with eDiscovery platforms Relativity, DISCO, or EverLaw
• Knowledge of California and federal court procedures and filings
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

• Support complex commercial litigation matters from inception through trial
• Manage case files, evidence collections, and electronic databases
• Coordinate document review, coding, organization, and productions
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and court filings for attorney review
• Conduct legal and factual research regarding cases, witnesses, experts, and court procedures
• Prepare trial materials, exhibits, witnesses files, and related litigation documents

This hybrid opportunity is with a highly respected, full-service law firm that supports sophisticated commercial litigation matters across a broad range of industries.

This position sits within a collaborative litigation team and offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys on all phases of complex commercial disputes, including case management, discovery, trial preparation, and client service.

About the Role

The Litigation Paralegal will serve as a key contributor to the firm's litigation practice, partnering with attorneys and clients throughout the lifecycle of active matters. Responsibilities include:

Base Salary: $107,000 - $120,000 annually

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program, or equivalent qualifications consistent with California Business and Professions Code §6450
• At least 5 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm or in-house legal environment
• Strong background supporting commercial litigation matters and trial preparation
• Experience with eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity, DISCO, or EverLaw
• Knowledge of California and federal court procedures, filings, and litigation processes
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
