Job summary

Fennemore in Oakland, CA seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal for a full‑time, hybrid role supporting complex commercial litigation. You will assist attorneys with case management, discovery, pleadings, legal research, and trial preparation.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of litigation paralegal experience, strong eDiscovery knowledge (Relativity, DISCO, EverLaw), excellent communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program or combination of experience and education as defined by California Business and Professions Code
• Minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience with a strong trial and eDiscovery background
• Knowledge of civil litigation rules and procedures, including court filings
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with eDiscovery platforms Relativity, DISCO, EverLaw
• Superior organization skills and ability to manage multiple projects to deadline
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Fennemore has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our OAKLAND, California office. This full-time, hybrid role offers the chance to work on complex commercial litigation cases. The ideal candidate will support attorneys with case management, discovery, pleadings, legal research, trial preparation, and client communications. Required Qualifications

• 6450.
• Minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience with a strong trial and eDiscovery background in a law firm or in-house environment.
• Knowledge of civil litigation rules and procedures, including those regarding court filings.
• Must have basic knowledge of eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity, DISCO, or EverLaw.
• Superior organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage several projects to completion on a deadline.
• Conscientious, thoughtful, and proactive approach to tasks and workload management, including establishing priorities, working independently, and taking initiative when appropriate.
• Proficiency in the standard collection of Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interface with all levels within the firm and externally with clients and other professional advisors, as needed.
