Job summary

The Charlotte, NC-based opportunity with Law Firms seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal to own all phases of Plaintiff’s Personal Injury cases. You will draft and file complaints, manage discovery, prepare medical summaries, and organize trial notebooks, while maintaining the docket and coordinating hearings and depositions.

The role requires initiative, exceptional organization, and strong empathy for clients.

Qualifications

• Significant paralegal experience in Plaintiff’s Personal Injury litigation.
• Strong understanding of NC and/or SC Rules of Civil Procedure and court filing systems.
• End-to-end trial preparation experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and manage cases across all active phases of personal injury litigation
• Draft, review, and file initial complaints, summonses, motions, and related court filings
• Handle all aspects of discovery, including drafting, serving, and responding to interrogatories and requests for production
• Write detailed medical summaries, organize complex medical records, and prepare trial notebooks
• Maintain the litigation docket, schedule court dates, and manage calendars for hearings, depositions, and mediations
• Assist attorneys with motion practice, arbitration, mediation, and trial preparation
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients to provide updates on sensitive matters

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Significant paralegal experience in Plaintiff’s Personal Injury litigation
• Strong understanding of North Carolina and/or South Carolina Rules of Civil Procedure and court filing systems
• Direct experience handling discovery, medical record summaries, and end-to-end trial preparation
• High degree of initiative, mature judgment, self-management, and the ability to hit the ground running
• Exceptional organizational skills, strict attention to detail, and top-tier time management
• High emotional intelligence and the ability to resolve conflicts and empathize with clients

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between [$50,000 – $80,000 annually]. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
