Job summary

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Litigation Paralegal for a nationally recognized Am Law firm based in Nashville, Tennessee. The role will begin onsite, with potential hybrid flexibility after successful training and demonstrated performance.

The Paralegal will support attorneys through all phases of complex litigation—discovery, depositions, motions, hearings, trial prep and appeals—managing case materials, deadlines, and document production.

Qualifications

  • 1–5 years of complex litigation paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Solid knowledge of litigation procedures, discovery, court rules, and deadlines; trial prep preferred.
  • Experience with e‑discovery platforms and document management systems.
  • Proven organizational and communication skills with ability to manage priorities.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, client-service mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and organize litigation matters, files, databases, deadlines, and case management systems.
  • Draft discovery requests and responses, pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and other documents.
  • Support discovery and e-discovery by collecting, reviewing, producing documents, and organizing indexes.
  • Conduct factual and legal research and prepare deposition summaries and case materials.
  • Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations; prepare exhibits and trial notebooks.
  • Assist with trial preparation and coordinate with clients, experts, courts, vendors, and others throughout the lifecycle.

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Litigation Paralegal for a nationally recognized Am Law firm with a sophisticated litigation practice. This opportunity is based in Nashville, Tennessee, and will begin onsite, with the potential for hybrid flexibility following successful training and demonstrated performance.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Our client is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to provide substantive support to attorneys throughout all phases of complex litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, trial preparation, and appeals. This role will manage case materials and deadlines, assist with e‑discovery and document production, prepare litigation documents, and coordinate closely with attorneys, clients, experts, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate is an organized, proactive litigation professional who demonstrates sound judgment, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a sophisticated law firm environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage and organize litigation matters, including electronic and physical case files, document databases, court deadlines, docket information, and case management systems
  • Draft discovery requests and responses, routine pleadings, motions, notices, subpoenas, correspondence, and other litigation documents for attorney review
  • Support discovery and e‑discovery processes by collecting, reviewing, organizing, and producing documents and preparing indexes, privilege logs, and production tracking materials
  • Conduct factual and legal research and prepare summaries of deposition transcripts, medical records, personnel files, financial records, and other case‑related materials
  • Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations while preparing exhibits, witness materials, hearing binders, trial notebooks, exhibit lists, and other case materials
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation and proceedings while coordinating with clients, experts, courts, vendors, witnesses, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders throughout the litigation lifecycle
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1‑5 years of complex litigation paralegal experience within a law firm, corporate legal department, or similarly sophisticated legal environment
  • Strong understanding of litigation procedures, discovery, court rules, case management, and litigation deadlines; trial preparation experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience with e‑discovery platforms, document management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and litigation support technology
  • Excellent organizational, project management, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines
  • Proactive and collaborative approach with strong critical‑thinking skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to exceptional client service
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This opportunity offers competitive compensation ranging from $80,000–$100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. The position has a minimum annual billable requirement of 1,400 hours, with increased billable performance providing the opportunity for larger compensation increases.
