Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team. In this role, you will be a key player in our litigation process, providing essential support to our attorneys in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment. If you\'re a detail-oriented professional with a knack for legal research, case management, and a deep understanding of the litigation process, we\'d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in the preparation and filing of all court documents and have knowledge of electronic court filings and litigation procedures.
• Conduct legal research and initial case assessments.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents and file them with the court.
• Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics, etc.)
• Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes.
• Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
• Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests.
• Gather relevant information from a variety of sources.
• Liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties.
• Provide assistance with case settlements.

Qualifications

• Proven working experience as a litigation paralegal, with a minimum of 5 years in the field.
• Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, procedures, practices, etc.
• Highly proficient with eFiling in both State and Federal courts.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks.
• Ability to work well in a team, as well as independently.
• Proficiency in legal research software and litigation databases.
• Familiarity with the stages of litigation and deadlines.
• Paralegal certification or degree in legal studies, law, or related field is preferred.
