Job summary

Orionplacement is seeking an experienced paralegal to support civil and criminal litigation at our Bradenton, FL office. This on-site role requires FRP status and 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience, including criminal litigation or criminal defense work.

Responsibilities

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Location: Bradenton, FL. This is an on-site position where you will work closely with our attorneys and legal team. Candidates must be able to work in our Bradenton office; remote and hybrid arrangements are not available.

Note: Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP) status and 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience are required. Candidates must also have criminal litigation or criminal defense experience.

Job Description

• Support attorneys throughout all phases of civil and criminal litigation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, notices, and other legal documents for attorney review and filing.
• Assist with discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, document collection, and case organization.
• Maintain pleadings, discovery materials, case indexes, and litigation files.
• Gather and organize information, evidence, exhibits, briefs, appendices, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare materials for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Assemble trial exhibits and witness preparation binders.
• Support criminal case preparation, including discovery management, hearing preparation, and trial materials.
• Coordinate with attorneys, clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other parties.
• Attend telephone conferences and prepare concise synopsis memoranda.
• Redact confidential and sensitive information from legal documents.
• Manage multiple cases, priorities, and deadlines in a fast‑paced legal environment.

Qualifications

• Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP) required.
• 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience required.
• Criminal litigation or criminal defense experience required.
• Working knowledge of pleadings, motions, discovery, evidence, court procedures, and trial preparation.
• Strong organizational, written, verbal, and time‑management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with attorneys and staff.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
