Job summary

LHH is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal for an opportunity with a well-respected and growing full-service law firm client with offices throughout NC. This opportunity in the firm’s Asheville office and will support multiple attorneys in their business litigation practice.

The role involves drafting court documents, managing dockets, coordinating with clients and courts, and handling e-discovery and research.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of litigation paralegal experience preferred.
• Appellate experience is a plus.
• Degree in Paralegal Technology preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
• Notary Public commission or ability to obtain one.
• Strong organizational, time-management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and client-service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PDF software, e-discovery tools, and online research.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with intake, organization, investigation, and resolution of litigation matters.
• Draft and prepare complaints, answers, motions, correspondence, memoranda, and other court documents.
• Draft interrogatories, discovery requests and responses, and complex pleadings.
• Coordinate and communicate with clients, attorneys, courts, and other parties involved in litigation matters.
• Manage docketing, calendaring, deadlines, and case schedules.
• Organize and maintain case files and litigation materials.
• Monitor case progress and follow up to ensure required actions and deadlines are completed.
• Assist with electronic discovery and online legal and factual research.
• Provide additional litigation support to attorneys and team members as needed.

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
