Stites & Harbison, PLLC, a full-service law firm, seeks an experienced Legal Assistant to support Construction and Data Center Service Groups. You will handle trial preparation, document production, drafting legal documents, deposition support, and large-volume document management.

This in-office role requires residing within commuting distance of Lexington, Kentucky. The firm emphasizes collaboration, advanced technology, and a long history of serving clients nationally and internationally.

Qualifications

5+ years of litigation experience, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial support.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in the legal or related field preferred
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, legal research tools, litigation software, and spreadsheet applications

Responsibilities

Drafting, formatting, and proofreading complex legal documents in Microsoft Word, including numbering schemes, cross-references, tables of contents, and tracked changes
Preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting with discovery, and handling electronic court filings
Maintaining organized case files and correspondence using litigation support software and internal document management systems
Coordinating with accounting on monthly billing cycles, including compiling time entries, preparing invoices, and ensuring timely and accurate client billing
Monitoring deadlines, managing multiple inboxes, and facilitating communication between attorneys, clients, and internal departments
