Thompson Hine LLP is seeking a Litigation Docket Clerk to support timekeepers and staff across Atlanta, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, and Los Angeles offices. The role focuses on docket management, filing, research, and reporting to ensure timely case processing.

Qualified candidates have 3–5 years of law firm docket experience, strong attendance and confidentiality, and proficiency with docket software.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree or higher and/or Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • Three to five years of law firm experience with docket or similar functions.
  • Computer knowledge: Windows, typing, data entry; experience with docket software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review and respond to docket mailbox emails within 24 hours.
  • Enter and maintain docket data, calculate due dates, attach documents.
  • Support attorneys and staff with case status information and filings.
  • Perform in-person court runs for filings and status checks.
  • Handle electronic filings and online research (PACER, File & Serve).
  • Provide reports on pending litigation and cost receipts to the Director of Business Intake.
  • Suggest docket policy improvements and provide backup to the Docket Manager.
