Job summary

Zwicker & Associates, P.C. seeks an Associate Attorney to join our national creditor rights team in Salt Lake City, Utah. The candidate must live in the Salt Lake City area to attend local hearings and support active litigation matters.

The base salary range for this position is $90,000-$100,000 per year, plus applicable bonus. Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills are essential for success and there are opportunities for growth and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice law and in good standing in Utah.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly motivated self-starter.
• Eagerness to learn.
• Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload.
• Able to communicate in a common language with others verbally or in writing.
• Able to operate a computer, phone, or equivalent device.
• Able to complete a minimum of a 40-hour flexible workweek.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with team members and outside parties.
• Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, etc., in active litigation files.
• Review litigation files to determine appropriate action.
• Advocate on behalf of client interests at various settings.
• Update and document case status using internal software.
• Analyze litigation reports and files to ensure proper workflow.
• Comply with client and firm SOPs.
• Travel to courtrooms within the branch office footprint as required.
• Prepare for and represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Negotiate settlements to resolve disputes while protecting client interests.
• Evaluate case merits, assess risk, and provide strategic recommendations.
• Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
