Job summary

Distinct | North America is seeking a senior litigation attorney to lead a broad general liability defense docket, with real courtroom exposure built in. You will own cases from intake through trial and mentor the associate team, taking depositions yourself and arguing motions.

The role offers potential partner track if desired, and is ideal for those focused on litigating and trying cases long-term rather than climbing to equity.

Qualifications

• Active Texas bar license (or able to waive in)
• 7+ years of litigation or general liability defense experience
• Trial experience strongly preferred
• Alternative background in plaintiff or in-house counsel at an insurer is acceptable

You'll step into a broad general liability defense docket with real courtroom exposure built in, not occasional.

This is a senior role with genuine ownership, leading cases from intake through trial, arguing motions, and taking depositions yourself rather than handing them off.

You'll also play a real part in mentoring and developing the associate team, sharing the trial experience that's often hard to come by elsewhere.

Partner track is there if you want it. But this is just as strong a fit if you're more interested in litigating and trying cases long-term than climbing toward equity.
