Job summary

Mintz is seeking a Business Development Manager for its Litigation practice in New York, collaborating with practice leaders and attorneys to execute BD initiatives that drive client engagement and revenue growth.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, data-driven decision making, and cross-team coordination to advance market positioning and visibility through campaigns, proposals, and client programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in business development, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Strong planning, project management, organizational and analytical skills.
• Experience supporting strategic initiatives and working with senior stakeholders.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and business intelligence tools.

Responsibilities

• Support annual and multi-year BD plans for the Litigation practice.
• Track industry trends, client developments, and competitive intelligence for Litigation.
• Identify and pursue client development opportunities, including cross-practice initiatives.
• Prepare tailored pitch materials and proposals for new business pursuits and RFPs.
• Provide BD coaching and resources to attorneys, including pipeline management tools.
• Collect and analyze matter experience and client financials to inform BD strategy.
• Maintain and optimize CRM, ERM, and BI platforms to track outcomes.
• Develop sales materials and thought leadership with BD and Marketing teams.
• Support visibility campaigns with PR and Marketing Communications.
• Plan and execute client programs, sponsorships, and speaking engagements.
• Align with internal teams to support client needs and practice growth.
