Job summary

Jobot, a Houston-based boutique law firm, seeks an experienced litigation attorney to represent clients through all stages of litigation, including investigations, depositions, and trials. You will negotiate settlements, develop strategies, and provide ongoing counsel to clients, while collaborating with a supportive team.

The role requires a JD, bar admission, and at least 5 years of experience in insurance defense or related practice areas.

Qualifications

• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar in good standing.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a litigation attorney.
• Proven experience conducting depositions and managing own caseload.
• Exceptional litigation skills: research, writing, and oral advocacy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professionalism and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in all stages of litigation, including fact investigation, research, drafting documents, managing discovery, and presenting in court.
• Conduct depositions of parties and witnesses.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Develop litigation strategies and advise clients based on facts and issues.
• Provide legal advice and status updates to clients.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure strongest representation.
