Job summary

A boutique law firm in Texas is seeking an experienced attorney with a strong litigation background for full-time employment. Candidates should have at least five years of progressively responsible experience handling employment lawsuits, including taking depositions, drafting dispositive motions, and representing clients at mediations. This position offers excellent mentoring, trial experience, and the opportunity to become a partner. Salary and benefits are commensurate with relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in litigation, especially employment lawsuits.
• Ability to take and defend depositions.
• Experience in drafting and arguing dispositive motions.
• Experience representing clients at mediations and settlement conferences.

Responsibilities

• Prosecute or defend employment lawsuit cases.
• Represent clients at mediations and settlement conferences.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to junior attorneys.
• Represent clients at mediations and settlement conferences and participate in strategy discussions.

You should have at least five years of progressively responsible experience prosecuting or defending employment lawsuits, including taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing dispositive motions, representing clients at mediations and settlement conferences. This is full-time employment. It provides an excellent opportunity to transition from a large firm to a smaller firm. You will receive excellent mentoring, gain trial experience, as well as an opportunity to become a partner, if desired. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with relevant experience.
