Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced employment litigation attorney in California to manage a diverse caseload and represent clients throughout all stages of litigation.

The role involves drafting pleadings and motions, conducting depositions, and participating in mediations and trials with a focus on workplace-related claims. The ideal candidate will hold a J.D., be admitted to the state bar in good standing, and possess strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

Qualificações

• Experience handling employment litigation matters including pleadings, discovery, motions, depositions, and settlements.

Responsabilidades

• Litigation Management: Manage employment litigation matters from initial case assessment through discovery, motion practice, settlement, trial, and appeal, as appropriate.
• Legal Research and Writing: Draft complaints, answers, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, deposition outlines, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
• Employment Law Matters: Handle disputes involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour claims, employment contracts, restrictive covenants, leave and accommodation issues, and other workplace-related claims.
• Depositions and Discovery: Conduct and defend depositions, prepare witnesses for testimony, oversee written discovery, review documents, and develop case-specific discovery strategies.
• Hearings and Trial Preparation: Prepare cases for hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trial, including witness preparation, exhibit development, and trial strategy.
• Settlement and Negotiation: Evaluate litigation risks, damages exposure, and potential defenses; negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
• Administrative Proceedings: Represent clients before applicable federal, state, and local administrative agencies, including the EEOC, as relevant to the practice.

Role:

You will have experience handling employment-related disputes, advising clients on workplace legal issues, and representing clients throughout all stages of litigation. This attorney will manage a diverse caseload, develop effective litigation strategies, conduct legal research, draft pleadings and motions, take and defend depositions, participate in mediations and settlement negotiations, and represent clients in court and administrative proceedings.

• Base Salary: $150-220k+, commensurate with experience.
• Additional Compensation: Annual performance-based bonus.
