Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to independently manage multiple cases, priorities, and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned litigation matters from inception through trial or resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, briefs, legal memoranda, and other documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies with senior attorneys.
• Take and defend depositions and participate in mediations, hearings, and settlement negotiations.
• Review discovery, medical records, expert reports, contracts, and insurance policies.
• Prepare cases for trial, including witness prep, exhibits, and trial materials.
• Assist with appellate matters when required.
• Communicate effectively with clients, claims professionals, courts, opposing counsel, and experts.
• Manage multiple active matters with calendars, deadlines, and case files.
• Evaluate liability, damages, exposure, and potential outcomes.
• Provide timely updates and recommendations on litigation strategy.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, ethics, and client service.

Litigation Associate – Insurance Defense

Our Client is seeking a Litigation Associate – Insurance Defense with a minimum of 3 years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience to join its Insurance Defense and Civil Litigation Practice Group in the Atlanta metropolitan area. The ideal candidate will have experience managing litigation matters from inception through resolution, drafting sophisticated litigation documents, conducting and defending depositions, handling discovery, participating in mediations and hearings, and preparing matters for trial. Compensation: $130,000+ per year, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Manage assigned litigation matters from case inception through trial or resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, briefs, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents.

• Experience practicing in both state and federal courts.
• Trial preparation or first-chair/second-chair trial experience.
• Strong client relationship and case management skills.
