Job summary

HRforGrowth is assisting a client law firm in the Atlanta metropolitan area to hire a Litigation Associate for Insurance Defense. The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience and be capable of handling matters from inception through resolution, including drafting sophisticated pleadings, taking and defending depositions, and preparing for trial.

Location is Dunwoody (Atlanta), Georgia 30377.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Georgia Bar membership.
• 3+ years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience.
• Strong writing and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters from inception through trial or resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, briefs, and memoranda.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies with senior attorneys.
• Take/defend depositions; participate in mediations and hearings.
• Prepare cases for trial with witness prep and trial materials.
• Assist with appellate matters when required.
• Maintain professional communication with clients, courts, and colleagues.
• Ensure accurate calendars and case files across matters.
