Gould & Ratner LLP is seeking a Mid-Level Associate to join its Litigation Practice in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have 3–7 years of commercial litigation experience, including researching and writing memoranda, drafting complaints and motions, and handling discovery, including e-discovery.

Depositons and trial prep experience are valued. The role offers direct client interaction, business development exposure, and significant responsibility on complex matters, with a flexible hybrid

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of commercial litigation experience.
• Strong writing, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple work streams under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work in a team while handling matters involving client interaction.

Responsibilities

• Research and write legal memoranda, draft complaints, motions and written discovery.
• Respond to discovery including e-discovery tasks.
• Take depositions and assist with trial preparation.
