The ideal candidate has an LLB, admission as Advocate or Attorney with 3-5 years in civil litigation, strong research and writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases with high organization. Welkom-based role with professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree.
• Admission as Advocate/Attorney with 3-5 years of civil litigation experience.
• Proven experience in managing discovery processes, including document review and production.
• Strong legal research and writing skills with ability to articulate complex arguments clearly.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Proficiency in legal case management software and standard office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Manage and organize case files, evidence, and discovery materials efficiently.
• Conduct legal research and factual investigation to support case strategy and preparation.
• Prepare clients for depositions, hearings, and trials, ensuring they are well-informed and prepared.
• Coordinate with court personnel, opposing counsel, and witnesses to schedule and manage case-related activities.
• Provide support during trials, including exhibit management and real-time note-taking.
