The successful candidate will manage matters from inception to resolution, draft pleadings, prepare for hearings, and advise clients.

Qualifications

LLB degree from a recognized university.
Admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
Minimum of 4 years post-admission experience in commercial litigation.
Experience drafting complex pleadings and managing discovery.

Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution.
Draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
Prepare cases for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations.
Advise clients on legal strategies and potential outcomes.
Conduct discovery including document review and witness examinations.
Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, and stakeholders.
Contribute to development of junior staff and maintain client relationships.
