Job Title: Associate Attorney

Practice Area: Litigation

Salary: Dependent on experience, plus performance bonus and benefit package

Status: Full-time, FLSA Exempt

Hand Arendall Harrison Sale LLC is looking for an experienced litigation attorney in our Birmingham office. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong academic credentials and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in civil litigation including, commercial and business, municipal, construction, employment and insurance defense. Essential Functions:

• Conducts legal research
• Independently drafts litigation documents
• Attends client appointments independently
• Learns and understands client expectations and key department business goals and assists them in meeting those goals
• Handles and actively seeks opportunities to become involved in special projects and on committees
• Effectively makes use of technology and automation in the practice of law
• Adheres to all standards of excellence in file management
• Travels as required to meet business needs
• Maintains the integrity of the Firm and products offered by complying with federal and state regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Working Conditions

Normal professional office setting. Evening and/or weekend work. In State travel will be required.

Typical Physical Needs

Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. May need to climb stairs and lift up to 30 lbs.

• The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• High ethical standards observing confidentiality of client matters at all times
