Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in Florence, SC is seeking a Litigation Associate with 1-5 years of civil litigation experience to handle cases from inception to trial, with direct client contact. Training will be provided, and remote/hybrid options may be available after onboarding.

The role requires admission to practice in South Carolina or pending bar results, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work autonomously and in a team.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in South Carolina or pending bar exam results.
• 1-5 years of practice experience, with prior insurance defense encouraged.
• Willingness to learn and work autonomously and within a team structure.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations.
• Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed.
• Prepare discovery responses and manage document production.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing thorough reports.
• Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary.
• Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants.
