Software Placement Group is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney for its Hartford, CT office to support its commercial litigation practice. This junior role offers growth in state and federal courts and direct client interaction in a collaborative, high-performance environment.

You will draft pleadings, motions and discovery, participate in depositions and hearings, and work closely with senior litigators.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in Connecticut, in good standing.
• 1–3 years of substantive commercial litigation experience.
• Experience handling litigation matters in state and federal courts in a law firm.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

This is an opportunity for a junior associate to develop a broad-based litigation practice in a collaborative, high-performance environment, with hands-on experience in state and federal courts and direct client interaction.

What you'll do

• Handle sophisticated commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts across Connecticut
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery materials and other litigation-related documents
• Participate in depositions, hearings, and court proceedings as experience allows
• Conduct legal research and support case strategy development

• Expected annual salary range of $145,000-$155,000, as determined by experience and market factors
