Job summary

Confidential Employer. in Waco, TX, is seeking a focused litigation attorney to manage civil litigation matters from investigation to resolution. You will draft pleadings, handle depositions, and assist with trial preparation while working closely with experienced trial attorneys.

The role requires a Texas bar license; newly licensed attorneys or those with up to 3 years of experience are welcome. On-site work offers mentorship and hands-on courtroom exposure in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Texas.
• Newly licensed attorneys and candidates with up to 3 years of experience are welcome.
• Interest in civil litigation, insurance defense, or personal injury litigation.
• Strong legal research, writing, communication, and organizational skills.
• Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and build a successful litigation career.
• Prior civil litigation or insurance defense experience is a plus, not a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support civil litigation cases from initial investigation through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
• Assist with trial preparation and gain opportunities to participate in jury trials.
• Work directly with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel.
• Analyze case evidence, medical records, and claims documentation.
• Collaborate with experienced trial attorneys to develop effective litigation strategies.
