Confidential Employer in Kansas City, Missouri is seeking an attorney for a full-time, on-site role focused on civil and commercial litigation. Compensation starts at $120,000 with potential for higher earnings based on experience, and you will work closely with experienced trial attorneys on challenging matters.

You'll manage matters from investigation through resolution, draft motions and briefs, supervise discovery, and support trial preparation.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• 1+ year of civil litigation experience; 2+ years preferred.
• Active Missouri or Kansas bar admission preferred; dual licensure is a plus.
• Experience with discovery, legal research, and drafting litigation documents.
• Strong writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative legal team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support complex civil and commercial litigation matters from initial investigation through resolution.
• Draft compelling motions, pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Handle discovery, including document review, written discovery, and deposition preparation.
• Conduct legal research and develop effective litigation strategies.
• Assist with trial preparation, hearings, and appellate matters.
• Work directly with clients, providing thoughtful legal guidance and practical solutions.
• Collaborate with experienced litigators on employment, insurance, business, and other civil disputes.
