Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking a diligent attorney to join our Missouri civil litigation team. A J.D. and admission to the Missouri Bar are required; 1+ years of civil litigation experience preferred.

This is a full-time, office-based role in Kansas City or St. Louis, with some regional travel and strong mentorship from experienced trial attorneys. You will handle matters from pleadings through discovery, depositions, and trial preparation, draft motions and briefs, and work directly with clients to

Responsibilities

• Handle civil litigation matters from initial pleadings through discovery, depositions, and resolution.
• Draft persuasive motions, legal briefs, answers, and discovery responses.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Develop case strategies and work directly with clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Manage a varied caseload involving insurance defense, personal injury, premises liability, and other civil disputes.
• Collaborate with experienced trial attorneys while steadily developing greater independence and responsibility.

We have exciting opportunities in Kansas City, MO, and St. Louis, MO! These are full-time, office-based positions offering direct collaboration with experienced attorneys, meaningful case responsibility, and occasional regional travel.

Note

We welcome motivated attorneys at different career stages! A J.D. and eligibility to practice law in Missouri are essential. Civil litigation experience is highly valued, but prior insurance defense experience is not required.
