Compensation
Salary Range: $210,000 - $360,000
Lockstep Associate Salary Schedule
- Year 1: $210,000
- Year 2: $220,000
- Year 3: $235,000
- Year 4: $265,000
- Year 5: $300,000
- Year 6: $325,000
- Year 7: $345,000
- Year 8: $360,000
Additional Compensation
- Relocation assistance for qualifying candidates
Location & Work Arrangement
Hybrid
- Three in-office days each week
- Wednesday in-office requirement
- New attorneys are encouraged to work in the office four to five days per week during onboarding to accelerate integration and professional development

Our client is seeking an attorney who is ready to move beyond a supporting role and independently manage sophisticated civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
This opportunity provides direct involvement in litigation strategy, client counseling, motion practice, depositions, courtroom appearances, and trial preparation. Responsibilities
- Independently manage sophisticated civil litigation matters
- Develop and execute litigation strategy
- Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive legal analysis
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery materials
- Prepare dispositive motions and appellate briefs
- Take and defend depositions
- Coordinate and work with expert witnesses
- Prepare cases for trial and participate in mediations
- Appear in court on behalf of clients
- Maintain direct client communications and provide strategic counsel
- Mentor and supervise junior attorneys when appropriate
Recommended Qualifications
- 4-7 years of sophisticated private practice civil litigation experience preferred
- Private practice civil litigation experience required
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage litigation matters
- Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
- Strong experience with discovery, motion practice, and depositions
- Interest in obtaining substantial courtroom responsibility
- Active Colorado Bar admission or eligibility for admission
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong academic credentials
- Graduation from a Top 40-Top 50 law school preferred, with Top 14 strongly favored
- Law school GPA of 3.5 or higher preferred
- Judicial clerkship experience is highly valued
