Job summary

Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough in Plano, TX, is seeking a detail-oriented Litigation Administrative Assistant to support Partners, Associates, and Paralegals in complex commercial, civil, and defense litigation matters.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on filing experience in Texas state and federal courts, strong communication and time-management skills, and be able to work independently and overtime for urgent filings or trial-related matters.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience gained in a law firm setting.
• Knowledge of Texas and federal court procedures, electronic filing systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and typing skills of at least 65 words per minute

Responsibilities

• Prepare, revise, proofread, and finalize correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Maintain calendars and deadlines
• File documents in state and federal courts
• Schedule depositions and meetings
• Assist with trial, hearing, discovery, and deposition preparation
• Handle travel arrangements, expense reports, attorney time entry, conflict checks, new matter openings, client files, billing requirements, invoices, and client communications
• Manage competing priorities and communicate proactively regarding deadlines and assignments
