The Press Operator is an essential member of the team, responsible for the manufacturing of printed labels while continuously monitoring label quality and press conditions.

• Compensation: $28.00 hourly + $1.50 Shift Premium
• Shift times: 2p-10p, 10p-6a

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
• Report safety concerns or issues to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment through daily housekeeping.
• Complete make-ready according to Job Ticket and Product Specification to ensure correct use of equipment and materials.
• Perform quality checks related to product specifications, visual, and functional checks, including press-side quality checks.
• Operate press to produce product per customer specifications, maintaining quality, minimizing waste, and ensuring efficiency.
• Maintain consistent quality during production, including critical quality checks such as copy, color, registration, and ink adhesion.
• Complete all procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements as per BRC standards.
• Perform press make-ready efficiently.
• Carry out equipment maintenance duties.
• Clean and lubricate press components as needed.
• Record material usage and time accurately in the system.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience as a printing press operator or related training.
• Physical ability to stand, feel, reach, talk, hear, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
