Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with set up, adjust, operate, and maintain single or multi-color offset press
  • Perform all make-ready tasks associated with the type of press operated such as hanging plates or installing cylinders, examine plates/cylinders for imperfections and checks for correct positioning of images, prepping blankets, adjusting tension and register etc.
  • Assist with makingnecessary color corrections and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the work Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as required
  • Assist with performingperiodic maintenance recommended by the manufacturer
  • Perform Roll Tender / Feeder and Packer duties as required
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
  • Shifts: 7pm - 7am/ 3 day/4 day /rotating every 8 weeks
  • $3.00 Shift Premium
Qualifications
  • Requires some knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, equipment and safety requirements and skills to perform assignments
  • Previous experience working as roll tender/ feeder
  • Receive training on how to operate a Litho Press, In-line double web press, Harris M10, and a mini web 6 colorweb printing press to print quality production and maintain quality of product
  • Skill to read and understand job specifications to determine press set-up materials needed to run the job successfully
  • Must have sufficient knowledge of press capabilities to determine the most appropriate use of the press and corrective adjustments required to run efficiently
  • Knowledge of the appropriate amount of packing pressure needed to obtain the proper printing pressure for the type of job being run
  • Skill in use of micrometer to mount and align the printing plate correctly
  • Skill in routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipment
  • Ability to make adjustments to feeder and feed board (e.g., ability to adjust suctions and blast, front and side guides and the timing of the head stops).
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5-8 years web press-printing experience.
  • Knowledge of in-line finishing, die cutting, inserters, imagers, color and register is required
  • Troubleshooting/Problem-Solving Skills
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching.
  • Occasional lifting and pushing/pulling - 50 lbs. or less.
  • Occasional repetitive motion with both hands.

Pay Disclosure Statement:

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $23.25 to $35.00 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include [a sign-on bonus of, overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
